Roseland Cottage
A New Arrival
Bowen descendants donated this crib to Roseland Cottage in 2005. The Gothic arches and trefoil suggest it belongs at Roseland Cottage, but the fine wood and carved ornaments indicate that it was not part of the bedroom suites at the country cottage. It may have belonged to the Bowens when they lived in the Brooklyn row house, a fine example of the Gothic Revival, and then moved with them to the Willow Street mansion.
