Bowen’s Specifications

Henry Bowen took a keen interest in the building of Roseland Cottage. In the nearly thirty pages of specifications for contractor Edwin Eaton, he at times drew a picture of what he wanted, in one instance showing how the the shingles should be shaped; and in another, showing a cross-section of the battens.
