1880s Water Tank

Henry Bowen further expanded the house’s capacity for water storage and for delivery to locations in the house in the 1880s when he installed a pressurized tank in the basement. In the last quarter of the nineteenth century, water in the house was pumped to the kitchen, first floor bath room, laundry, second floor bathroom, and second floor back service hall.
