Roseland Cottage
A Bedchamber
From the Brooklyn Daily Times: “Another room painted in the style of the renaissance, is over-run with a light tracery of vines, and foreign birds and beetles in the natural colors, on a grayish green ground. It is impossible to imagine the light and cheerful effect produced by the details.” Son Winthrop’s mourning portrait, now in the south parlor at Roseland, hung in this room.
