Clarence and Alice

Clarence Winthrop Bowen, fifth child of Henry and Lucy Bowen, was born in 1852. This photograph of Clarence, on the right, and his younger sister, Alice, was taken when he was still young enough to have his long curls and wear a dress and pantalettes.
