The Holt Family
In the 1900s, Roseland Cottage was a year round home. Constance and Sylvia Holt were the third generation to enjoy the quiet of rural Woodstock, Connecticut. While the Fourth of July celebrations of Henry and Ellen Bowen’s time were over, the home remained a gathering place for the family. Three generations of the Bowen-Holts enjoy summer on the east lawn. The five surviving children of Mary Bowen and George Holt are in the back row. Constance is in the dark dress.
