“Our Lady of Roseland”
After Sylvia’s death, Constance stayed on at Roseland Cottage, a beloved figure in Woodstock. She continued the Bowen family tradition of town support. She was a trustee of Woodstock Academy, Roseland Park, and Day Kimball Hospital and a member of the First Congregational Church. Author Margaret McClellan remembered her next-door neighbor as “Our Lady of Roseland” in a memoriam.
