Dated growth marks on the door of the Roseland Cottage south-west bed chamber (known as The Presidents’ Room) record Penny Drinkwater’s height during her stay with Constance and Sylvia Holt. The ladies chose to save these marks, providing us with a personal connection to this expanded family during World War II.
