Family Births

Henry Elliot, first child of Lucy and Henry is entered on the first page. He weighed 12 pounds at birth. But he was not the biggest of the Bowen infants. Edward Augustus (called Ned), their second child, weighed a whopping 14 pounds. Some speculate that Lucy may have suffered from gestational diabetes, based on the size of her babies, which ranged from 10.5 to 14 pounds.
