“I have loved thee on Earth”

Inside this locket is a daguerreotype of Lucy and the inscription “I have loved thee on Earth, I will meet thee in Heaven.” The exterior of the locket is intricately engraved with Henry’s monogram. Connected to the locket is a heart-shaped gold charm with Lucy’s name on one side, and on the other a lock of woven hair encased in a glass frame.
