Roseland Cottage
Judith Ask
Judith Ask was one of two people working at Roseland Cottage when Constance Holt died in 1968. Constance described Judith as her assistant, a word that encompassed cook, housekeeper, and companion. She lived at Roseland Cottage during the last years of Constance’s life. Elmer Petersen joined Judith, working as chauffeur and groundskeeper. He was said to keep the Bowen carriage from 1870 in good condition, borrowing two horses once a year to drive it around the Woodstock Common.
