Modernization

The Bowen family added a modern bathroom plumbed for running water on the second floor in the space that was Henry Bowen’s office. They installed a claw foot bath tub, sink, and a high-tank or pull chain toilet. The diamond shaped window on the interior wall–doubtless put there when this was Henry’s office–was designed to allow light into the hall.
