Plaine Hill

Herbert married Augusta Vingut in 1895 and, following a divorce, he married Carolyn Clegg. He retired to Woodstock in 1905 where he and his wife lived at Plaine Hill. The home had been Herbert’s grandfather’s farm and his father had owned and modernized it in the 1880s. Herbert Wolcott Bowen died in 1927.
