Rekeying Plaster

Where plaster was no longer adhered well to the lath, an epoxy solution was injected to reattach it. The same process was used where the lincrusta had separated from the wall but was still in good condition. In this photo, metal heads cover where injections have been made on both the plaster and the lincrusta. Notice the green paint, applied as a “repair” decades before, and the bright pink paint on the molding, removed to reveal the original grain painting.
