The Next Generations

Mary’s connections to Roseland Cottage remained through her lifetime. She and George brought their children and grandchildren to Woodstock to spend time at Roseland Cottage and with the extended Bowen family. Mary and George are seated on the front lawn surrounded by their children and grandchildren in this photograph. Henry, Constance, Stuart, Sylvia, and Hamilton stand behind their parents. Henry eventually inherited the home when Mary died in 1925. She stipulated that Constance and Sylvia would have use of the house until they married. The sisters began to live full time at Roseland Cottage in the 1930s.
