The Repair Process

Where Lincrusta was too badly damaged or missing, a replica was made. Undamaged Lincrusta was used to make a mold which was then filled with an epoxy substance. The resulting cast was adhered to the wall and inpainted to match the remaining original Lincrusta. In this photo of the dining room, a patch is installed next to the mantel. Light purple is the color of the new material.
