Tracking Penny’s Growth

During World War II, Constance Holt welcomed Penny Drinkwater, a child from London who was sent to the U.S. to escape the bombing raids on that city. Penny spent the duration of the war at Roseland Cottage, and kept track of her height on the door of the Presidents’ Room.
