Winthrop’s Death

Winthrop died of inflammatory croup on in May 1865, roughly two years after his mother, who died from complications due to his birth. The deaths of Henry’s father George Bowen, Lucy Maria Bowen, and Lucy’s and Henry’s son John Eliot are also listed.
